Dunno what to say asides from hang in there and hold on to what you do have...even your job right now. The alternative is worse. I lost my job, my car, my home and 95% of my friends due to it.

Ick, debt is a pain in the ass. :( The good thing is that it's mostly student loans rather than credit card debt, which usually hits you hard on interest. That really sucks about the minimum balance of $300. What a crock! Have you looked into another bank or credit union that doesn't have that? Although it gives you a nice buffer but what good is that buffer if you can't use it? :\

Best investment I ever made when I worked for the sister of your competition was buying a rice cooker and crockpot. Basically lived on chicken and rice since its dirt cheap (got it down to feeding myself for $30 a month). Finances are even worse now due to my present situation...

I don't get this new thinking in television in which you need to go into debt at the tune of $60-70k or more and then work in a career in which you'll spend the rest of your life paying it off due to the low pay. Its not like going to school to be a doctor when after residency, you'll make enough to pay those loans off quick. Whatever happened to the old ways before the consultants took over?

I don't think Seinfeld would have succeeded if it were to start today. Today's audiences are much more discriminating on comedy. I don't think Seinfeld was even funny. I think today's market would have cancelled it even with the longer than 4 episodes. That's just my opinion.

Doesn't shock me. I probably have something messed up too in the system config file. I really never thought that I'd have to be processing anything other than English, since it's my personal server.

Looks like a text encoding/display issue with whois, try it for anywhere that uses a different alphabet to latin 8859-* and you'll get similar odd looking text. One day it'll use unicode, until then we just have to deal with international systems that aren't internationalised.

Yes. And it's annoying. But there's no way it can survive in today's world. We're not gathering at 8pm on Friday to watch Dollhouse, we're watching it when we want now. Fox and NBC will figure that out, but the problem is, will it be fast enough. Joss has already proven that internet distribution works. I predict that in the near future we'll see more and more GOOD quality content distributed right to the internet. And some of it might even be from the big players, but I'll be a lot won't. And really, it's that which scares the big 4. The fact that they can't control what you see online.

Unfortunately, Chris, it's the way it is right now. Trust me, I'd much rather of seen Joss do this the way he did Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. He's already proven internet can work as a distribution method.

Don't get me started on the 60 year old business model. Today NBC and cohorts blocked Hulu from Boxee because they don't want people watching Hulu on their TV. What the hell?!! They're so protective of their distribution systems that they're missing great opportunities to get more exposure and more revenue. They absolutely need to let go of the old model and start finding new ones that work very well. Then people won't need or want to pirate anymore, because they'll have access to their favorite shows all the time.
